Intego released its X9 version of antivirus and security software in 2016, later adding compatibility with Apple silicon processors. In 2018, Kape Technologies acquired Intego. The company launched a Windows version of its antivirus software in 2020 and introduced Intego Privacy Protection, a VPN solution for macOS and Windows, in 2021.
