Bags Packed Family, consisting of Jonathan, Kelly, and their three children, began their journey in 2006. Initially meeting while thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, they later became ski instructors in New Mexico and moved to Alaska for graduate school and teaching jobs.

In 2015, they sold their Alaska home to teach overseas, starting in Chennai, India. After two years, they moved to the United Arab Emirates and later to Indonesia. They've traveled extensively, visiting over 13 countries and documenting their adventures on YouTube, Instagram, and their blog. Bags Packed Family is tagged under travel.
